They come as two PDFs (the quilt, and the runner and pillow), each in US Letter and A4. You also get cutting charts and yardage tables for every size, a tools and terms glossary and a coloring page for planning your tree colors, plus three suggested colorways.

What sizes does the quilt come in, and how long are the table runners?
Quilt: Baby 42″ × 55½″, Throw 55½″ × 69″, Twin 69″ × 96″, Queen 96″ × 109½″ and King 109½″ × 109½″. Runner: Short 42″ × 15″, Medium 55½″ × 15″ and Long 69″ × 15″. The pillow cover is 15″ with an envelope back and fits a 16″ pillow form.

Can I make it with fat quarters, and how many do I need? What size quilt will 10 yards make?
Yes. The tree blocks are cut from fat quarters, and one fat quarter makes up to 2 trees. Quilt counts are Baby 6, Throw 10, Twin 18, Queen 28 and King 32. The yardage tables in the pattern give the background, trunk, binding and backing amounts for each size, so check your size there rather than guessing from a total of 10 yards.

What are some easy Christmas quilt patterns, and is this one suitable for beginners?
Tree Farm is a good choice for confident beginners looking for an easy christmas tree quilt pattern. It uses plain squares and half-square triangles with ¼″ seams, and the steps are illustrated. The glossary explains the tools and terms, and the coloring page helps you plan colors before you cut. The runner and pillow are smaller projects to start with.

What is the 60-30-10 rule, and how does it help me pick fabrics?
It's a guide for balancing color: about 60% a main color, 30% a second color and 10% an accent. The pattern suggests three colorways. Classic: pine greens, then holly red, with gold as the accent. Nordic: deep red, then forest green, on cream. Frosted: icy blue, then teal, with silver-blue as the accent. Try yours on the coloring page first.

Will it print on my printer?
Yes. Every pattern comes as a US Letter and an A4 PDF, set in large, high-contrast type with clear diagrams. Print only the pages you need, such as the shopping list and the cutting chart for your size.

Why pay when there are free Christmas quilt patterns?
Free roundups send you to many different sites, and the patterns differ in what they cover. This is one coordinated set in a single download: a quilt in 5 sizes, a christmas table runner pattern in 3 lengths and a pillow cover, with cutting charts, yardage, a glossary and a coloring page. It costs $24.99 for all three, about $8.33 each.

How is this different from Missouri Star's Christmas Tree Farm Quilt Pattern?
Tree Farm Christmas Collection is a separate pattern from a separate business. We are not affiliated with Missouri Star. Our tree layout is our own design.
